Vintage Square Case Levelometer #Master Model – Steampunk / Man Cave
Simmonds Precision. Bellows Falls, VT, U.S.A. Circa 1970.
Removed from a boiler room, detail cleaned, scrapped down to bare meter, primed and wrinkle-tex painted. Ready to display or hook-up to a low-pressure pneumatic source. Looks Sharp!
Or, if you happen to have a 10-foot diameter #2 fuel oil tank made in 1970, you’re in luck. This gauge is ready-to-go!
I screwed the three original mounting brackets inside the case using some existing threaded holes. You can see I also used one to “trap” the above-mentioned invoice. Easily put back if you want.
I also removed the hardware holding the air-inlet fitting and relocated it and the fitting into the meter case. This way the fitting is not poking out. And if you decide to just show it on the wall as an objet d’art (whoo-hoo!) you won’t have to see this fitting.
