I offer private guitar lessons for beginner and intermediate students ages 10 and older in Sachse and the greater North Dallas area. My goal is to make every lesson enjoyable, encouraging, and focused on helping you play the music you actually love. With more than 40 years of experience as a guitarist, over 25 years performing in live bands, and more than a decade of teaching students every week, I've developed a lesson program that combines solid fundamentals with practical, hands-on learning. I'm currently the lead guitarist for Vinyl Revelation, and I continue to perform live, which allows me to bring real-world playing experience into every lesson. I believe learning guitar should never feel boring or overwhelming, so I customize each lesson to fit your interests, musical taste, and personal pace. You'll learn essential chords, rhythm techniques, scales, riffs, lead guitar, solos, music theory, improvisation, timing, ear training, and proper playing technique while building confidence with every session. Instead of simply memorizing exercises, I'll help you understand how songs are put together so you can become a better musician and eventually learn new songs on your own. One of the best parts of my lessons is that you'll spend time learning music from artists you already enjoy listening to. I teach songs from a wide variety of genres including classic rock, modern rock, country, blues, pop, alternative, and more. Some of the artists featured in my lessons include AC/DC, Aerosmith, The Beatles, Alan Jackson, Adele, Alice Cooper, Allman Brothers, Billy Idol, Billie Eilish, 3 Doors Down, 30 Seconds to Mars, 38 Special, Alicia Keys, Avenged Sevenfold, Alien Ant Farm, America, and many others. I'm always expanding my library with new songs and current artists so there's always something exciting to learn. Lessons are just $25 per week, making quality instruction affordable for students and families. I teach in my comfortable home studio on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday evenings, where students receive one-on-one instruction in a relaxed environment designed for learning.
