The glass is thick and extremely heavy. The saw horse style legs look flimsy, but they're reasonably sturdy once you put the glass on them. I bought it about a decade ago and mostly used it to take photos on. Being able to light from underneath was useful sometimes. I think it was meant to be an office or computer desk. The glass is 55 x 27.5 inches and desk stands 28 inches tall.
