Up for sale is a rare high-end pair of speakers from Quad, made in England. Model 12L2, 30-200 watts, 6 ohms.
Cabinets are in excellent condition, near mint with a few blems., not scratches or dents. Sable wood veneer in a high gloss lacquer finish. Upgraded crossover to include Jantzen Z-Cap, Ohmite AG Gold. All matched to 1/2 %, high purity copper wiring 99.99% with Teflon insulation. Interior cabinet lined with no-res damping padding. (See GR-research's website for a description). Cards euteric solder mix, silver, copper, tin, lead.
Original capacitors were cheesy cheap $2.00 capacitors.
Improvements in soundstage, detail, 3-dimensional treble & bass are night & day.
