This is a vintage set of Criterion 100B 3-way speakers in amazing shape for their age.
This series of speakers was made for Lafayette from 1970 to 1973.
Cosmetically:
The real walnut wood veneer has been cleaned and polished. The veneer is in incredible condition with only minor nicks at a couple of the corners. There are a couple of light scratches on the cabinet bases. The cabinet backs received a fresh coat of paint. The original cloth grills are in incredible shape and required nothing other than installing Velcro for the ease of removal.
Functionally:
The original mid-range speakers have been re-foamed. Original woofers and tweeters were left intact and required no upgrading. The crossover frequency controls have been cleaned to remove oxidation.
See the picture of the original catalogue page for their specifications.
If you are putting together a vintage stereo package these speakers may be just for you!
