Primary Responsibilities:
• Design of water, sewer, wastewater, subsurface infrastructure and utility plans, including corresponding profiles and specification data.
• Design and detail stormwater management hydrologic & hydraulic modeling, erosion control, sediment control, relevant design calculations, etc.
• Prepare code compliant calculations and reports.
• Prepare permit drawings and application packages.
• Prepare site surveys and existing conditions plans.
• Provide contract administration services during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Perform related duties as assigned or required to meet company goals and objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
• FE/EIT, PE Preferred
• Basic familiarity land surveying techniques, and land development practices.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus, Stormwater Modeling Software such as HydroCAD, PondPack, or Hydraflow Hydrographs, Drainage Modeling Software such as Excel, StormCAD, Hydraflow Storm Sewers.
• Effective written and oral communication skills are a must for preparation of project reports, specifications, studies, and other engineering documents.
• Team player, ability to work in an interdisciplinary office environment, detail oriented, and self-disciplined to work in a hybrid office.
Preferred Experience:
• Ability to independently complete site GPS surveying and lead detailed surveying field work.
• Proficiency with hydrologic/hydraulic (H&H) modeling of natural systems and stormwater collection systems, floodplain management and modeling, culvert and bridge hydraulics, scour analysis.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as PondPack, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HY-8, and Watershed Modeling System
• Experience with DelDOT design standards.
• Experience with GIS software and integration with AutoCAD Civil 3-D
