REAL COLLECTOR'S ITEM. This collectible fillet knife was made by Janne Marttiini of Finland and sold through Rapala in the US. It has his name on the blade. tried to get photo but wouldn't come out because of reflection. J. Marttiini, or Janne Marttiini, was a Finnish blacksmith who founded the famous Marttiini Knife Factory in Rovaniemi, Lapland, in 1928. He established a legacy of producing high-quality, durable knives designed for the harsh Arctic environment, which became known for their craftsmanship and innovation. Beyond his knife-making, Janne Marttiini was also a traveling preacher, spreading his religious beliefs internationally, and later, a company leader who expanded his business into export markets, particularly the United States.
