Finally decided to sell my 1976 Formula. She is 23ft and has a marine power freshwater cooled 5.7L Vortec engine with a Holley 4 barrel carb. Always used non ethanol gas and I've had her for about 20 years. She cruises about 21 knots at 3200 rpms while getting about 2 mpg. I can fish offshore all day on about 80 gallons. She has a pretty nice VHF radio and a decent furuno depthfinder. I am not aware of ANY soft spots anywhere on this boat. It also has curtains for the front and sides that snap in. This is a top off the tank and go fishing kind of boat. It also comes with outriggers and a 1 year old really nice cover. There is a flushing system that has been installed to make flushing the salt water out easy. The fuel tank was removed and replaced with a custom 103 gallon one built of 1/4" marine aluminum about 8 years ago. All the foam was removed and the tank is now supported above the hull floor so that air circulates around the tank. The manifolds and risers have 0 hours on them as they are brand new when I installed them just before winterizing her last winter. I replaced the tilt and trim hoses last fall before winterizing. A few years ago, I took her to the mechanic and asked him to change my lower shift cables. While it was there, I also had him to go through her with a fine tooth comb and look for anything. I wound up getting the distributer coil changed, the starter, the lower unit bellows and gimbal bearing changed as well as having the lower unit mostly rebuilt. All this was just to be 100 percent sure it didn't leave me offshore one day. To the tune of almost 6k. I didn't plan on selling this girl but ran into a deal on another boat that I couldn't refuse. I know I'm gonna regret selling her one day.
Comes with a super nice heavy duty torsion axle aluminum I-beam trailer with a TON of nice stoltz rollers on it. The trailer has surge brakes on it and they work great. Just like the maintenance on the boat, the trailer gets maintained each year as well. The tires only have about 30 or 40 miles on them and even the spare was changed when I changed all the ones on the trailer. A lot of effort went into keeping this girl in this kinda shape.
I know it's a 50 year old boat but it's in fantastic shape and a great riding boat and a classic. I would like to get 10,600 for her.
Questions are welcome. Seven 5 Seven 709 1449.
