For Sale: Two Very old ornamental swords from Toledo, Spain. These decorative swords feature a long, slender blade partially embellished with elaborate black and gold scrollwork, showcasing the inscription "Toledo”. I don’t know a lot about swords, but in doing some research, I’ve found that the fair market value on an old Toledo sword is between 150 and 180 dollars, as of February 15, 2025. It was suggested that I consider having the swords cleaned and restored, to sell at a higher price, but they are already in reasonable condition, given their age. I also don’t have much of an interest in swords. These swords originally belonged to my father. I remember them hanging on our wall when I was a child. I am now 75 years old, so I know them to be at least that old. They were already old when he first purchased them. My guess is, they are least 100 years old, if not older. I am asking $150 for both. Please don’t ask me a lot of questions, because I know nothing about antique swords, but antique clocks are another thing.
