Minimum Job Requirements:
Demonstrated knowledge in Mechanical Engineering such as a Masters or PhD degree with 5+ years of experience including knowledge in the following technologies and skill areas:
·Physics and non-linear structural mechanics, including contact and buckling.
·Advanced material modeling including plasticity, non-linear elasticity and visco-elasticity
·Major FEA codes, particularly ABAQUS and ABAQUS/Explicit.
·Modeling and pre/post-processing codes, such as PATRAN, ABAQUS/CAE and PRO/E.
·Practical engineer expertise
·Stress and dynamic test methods.
·Integration of measurements and computerized mechanical simulations.
·Skill with Windows based computer hardware and software
·Vibration and dynamics analysis including normal modes, forced response and transient dynamics.
·The ability, knowledge, and experience “to frame the problem;” that is to determine when an FEA model is or is not needed, and to know what can be done practically with FEA codes.
·Skill in solving complex technical problems.
·The ability to work on several programs simultaneously, including a mixture of projects with some as short as one hour to one day and some as long as several months.
·The ability to interface with business partners and generate, define, and develop technical programs.
·Excellent written and oral communications and PowerPoint expertise.
·Interpersonal, leadership, and networking skills.The ability to work as a team member in a respectful manner in a diverse work environment.
Job Duties Include
• Managing all aspect of mechanical projects including timeline, spending, resource mgmt, etc
• Develop risk mitigation plans, assembly and test instructions/procedures
• Support technical trade studies and failure investigations directly with customers
• Coordinate with development lab activities
• Support all products on Group’s line
Qualifications
• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required + 6 years relevant experience or MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering + 3 years relevant experience
• Must have Aerospace experience, Earned Value experience a plus

We are currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to provide Geotechnical Leadership for Staff Engineers as well as Project Managers. The successful candidate must have experience in identifying, winning, and leading geotechnical consulting projects along with the desire to attract and lead other professionals. This position will manage client relationships and contracts that may include complex, multi-disciplinary projects in geotechnical and materials engineering. A solid and proven successful track record in the geotechnical industry is a must!
Experience Required:
• Preparing and writing proposals for geotechnical investigations.
• Preparing and writing reports of findings for geotechnical investigations.
• Planning, designing and monitoring projects for geotechnical investigations.
• Monitoring and performing slope stability and erosion analyses.
• Monitoring and planning field and laboratory geotechnical studies.
• Analyzing field and laboratory test data.
• Making recommendations based on analysis of testing results.
• Serving as technical consultant for clients.
Requirements are:
* BS or MS in Civil Engineering. MS preferred.
* 10+ solid years of experience in a Geotechnical Engineering testing and consulting role
* P.E. (Professional Engineer) is a MUST.
* Ability to manage Geotechnical Engineering projects

Senior Engineer: BS/MS with 8+ years directly related experience.
Staff Engineer: BS/MS with 5-8 years directly related experience.
Engineer: BS with 3-5 years.
Mandarin/English Technical Translator: The ideal candidate will have a technical degree from a mainland China or Taiwan university; a second degree from a U.S. university is desired but optional. Written and oral fluency in Mandarin and English-- and a sound grasp of technology and terminology are absolute requirements for this position (May share some functional duties with Engineer and Staff Engineer positions above).
All positions are based in Richland, WA and will require travel to mainland China for extended stays, typically three to four weeks in China and then returning to Richland, WA for three to four weeks. As a rough gauge, travel to China will be ongoing at 25% to 50%. Candidates that are bilingual in Mandarin/English are highly desired; however, for most positions, this is secondary to technical excellence. Right to work in the U.S. is a requirement for each position.
