Manufacturing & Distributing company is searching for a Financial Controller with a minimum of 15 years of progressive accounting/finance experience with at least 5 years as a Financial Controller. Responsibilities include:
All financial reporting, payroll, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting
Monthly accounting closings and reporting of financial results
Prepare annual close and financial reporting metrics
Manage and implement flash reports
Oversee the organization's revenues, expenses and cash flow
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against financial plan
Manage and implement a new software systems & processes
Development of annual budgets
Implementation of new Employee Manual
Supervise the general accounting, payroll, A/R, billing, and A/P staff
Interaction with external auditors and banks
Responsible for Federal and State corporate, sales and payroll tax compliance
Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities
Special projects as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
B. S. in Accounting or Finance. CPA and/or MBA preferred
General management and operational experience
Ability to comprehend broad business issues and accomplish these objectives through others
Proven ability to think creatively outside the box and to assist in the growth of the organization
Excellent communication, planning and organization skills
General knowledge of income tax regulations
Experience presenting financial reports to executive level senior management
Excellent leadership skills and in the mentoring of personnel
Ability to assess risks and balance costs with benefits.
